Raiden's Lake

Raiden’s Lake is the latest addition at De Karperhoeve. The 2,5-acre lake has two swims; both include a new cabin that can accommodate up to two anglers each. Raiden’s Lake has an excellent stock and with that being said, a perfect lake for anglers who prefer some luxury, want to have a short trip abroad and want to have a lot of action! The biggest carp is currently weighing around 40lb, and there are several other carp above 33lb.  

The Stock
With 250 carp and 4 sturgeons is action almost guaranteed at Raiden’s Lake. Raiden’s Lake is open since spring 2018. An excellent bait presentation is essential. The existing carp stock is feeding itself on natural food — especially insects as bloodworms and mosquito larvae. The average weight is 17lb, and the population is more than less 50/50 common and mirror carp. Many of the mirror carp are remarkably scaled and have a beautiful dark skin tone. Really beautiful fish to catch!

The Facilities
On the domain of ‘De Karperhoeve,’ you’ll find a big tavern with inside, everything you need. Showers, separate toilets, tackle shop, charging points, fridge and freezer and a nice restaurant with a bar and Wi-Fi. The toilet facilities are open 24 hours a day, the shower facilities are open only between 09:00 and 17:00 each day. In front of the tavern, you’ll find a big guarded parking lot where you safely can park your car after unloading it at your swim. On both swims, you’ll find a 2-person cabin with TV, 2 single beds (you’ve to bring your own duvet cover) and electricity. The fireplace can be heated with firewood that you can buy in the tackle shop. The toilets and showers are located inside the main facilities, approximately 150 meters’ distance from your swim.

Both swims can fit up to 4-persons (2-anglers and 2 non-anglers) each. If you bring 2-angers and 2 non-anglers, you can bring extra bivvy.  Inside the cabins, you will find a table with 3 chairs and 2 separate single beds. You can turn these 2 single beds in 2 double beds if you are with four persons. Please keep in mind that this will take some extra space. Outside the cabin, you have a big table with 4 chairs where you can relax and enjoy your time outside. Because the cabins are placed within 50ft from another, you can also book the lake exclusive. A lovely way to spend your carp fishing holiday with other angling friends or family.

Maximum three carp rods per angler
No braided mainlines, leadcore and leaders. 'Lead-free' leaders such as FreeFall, SubMerge & KlingOn are allowed
The use of antiseptic treatment is obligatory with each catch
Solar unhookingmats, weighslings and landingnets are supplied on site at arrival (a caution fee of € 50,- is required). It's not allowed to bring your own
Each swim is fitted with a weigh pole
No keepsacks
No hooks larger then size 4, micro-barbed hooks only
Fixed-rigs are not allowed. Use safetyrigs. Please ensure that the lead can slide over all knots (f.e. when using a shock leader). Inline leads and safety clips are allowed
The owner and bailliff reserve the right to check your material
Bait boats are allowed, but please use them sensibly and with respect to other anglers.
Please keep a bucket of water at hand to keep the fish wet at the unhooking mat, and to rinse your unhooking mat after use to prevent cross-contamination from parasites
Please keep noise such as radios to an acceptable level
Rods must not be left unattended when lines are in the water
BBQ's are allowed, but no open fires
Please keep your swim clean, use the bins provided for litter. Please separate the glass from the other waste
Swimming is not allowed
Children are under the sole responsibility of their parents or tutor
We cannot be held responsible for any accidents or thefts at the lake
Marking or mutilation of the fish is strictly forbidden. Offenders will be prosecuted
Only particles bought on site are allowed, we supply a full range of particles onsite
Dogs are allowed
The use of drugs and (extensive) alcohol is not allowed
The estate has a secure parking
It is allowed to park at your swim, but your car must remain on the swim (unless you go shopping)
Tuesday is the 'day off' for Timmy. You can use the shower in the morning and meals will be served as usual
Rowing boats are allowed at your own risk and peril. The use of a life jacket is compulsory
In case you break any of the rules, you'll get a yellow card. At the second yellow card, you'll get a red card and will be asked to leave De Karperhoeve without a right for refund
