Description
Big carp fishing in France on Bill’s Lake 3. The swims are set along one bank with the facing bank being out of bounds. This causes a natural haven for the fish with multiple catches coming from its' margin. This lake bursts into life in very early spring and continues well into December with the fish showing themselves frequently. No problems in locating them at all! As with Bill's Lake 1, fishing Bill's Lake 3 offers the angler a chance to fish the mighty River Marne. The river borders the site and is available to fish at a small cost. This river has produced some really big fish and big gear is needed to bank these awesome fighting Carp! This lake is let solely on an exclusive basis for up to six anglers, giving plenty of room for everybody. Lake 3 is a very popular lake and needs to be booked well in advance to avoid disappointment. Bill’s Lake 3 is booked from Saturday to Saturday and the meeting point is at the gate of Lake 3 at 2pm. You must vacate the lake by 10 am the following Saturday morning. French carp stocks for this carp lake are very high, with the average stamp of fish being impressive. There is a large head of 40lbs+ fish with mirror carp to over 73lb, common carp to over 61lb and grassies to over 55lb. There are 3 double and three single swims, all situated along one bank with the facing bank being out of bounds. The 3 double swims are equipped with an anglers’ shelter with a picnic bench, ideal to make your base camp. These swims also have raised solid platforms for disposable BBQ's and come with a euro size unhooking mat. There is a wheelie bin, recycling bags and a crate for your empty bottles so that you can keep your swim tidy. You can park behind every swim and there is stepped access to the water’s edge. There is a super clean English flushing toilet and shower block available 24 hours a day. We have a solar powered charging point for your low amperage battery and phone chargers. This is available free of charge and saves having to give your batteries to Bill to be charged. Just remember to bring your chargers! The 3 double swims are equipped with an anglers shelter with picnic bench. These swims also have a solid platform for your disposable BBQ's and come with a euro size unhooking mat. There is a kitchen cabin on this lake equipped with gas cooker and gas fridge, worktops and sink with hot and cold water for washing up only.This can be hired via your customer area.
Rules
We really want you to have a great time at Bill’s Lakes and following a few rules combined with a bit of common sense will help you to enjoy your stay while keeping you and the fish SAFE. 3 rod limit at all times. DO NOT leave your rods unattended. 15lb minimum main line. No braided main line. (ok to use on spod and marker rods). No lead core. No death rigs or bent hook patterns. Ensure you always use safe rig set-ups. No 360 rigs Only Particles supplied by Bill’s Lake may be used on all of our lakes. Minimum 42” landing net. Polyball or cradle style unhooking mats only, suitable for huge carp. Scales and unhooking mat or cradle must be able to cope with a fish of 70lb plus. ALWAYS keep an unhooking mat or cradle under a fish for photos at all times. DO NOT hold fish above knee height. DO NOT stand while holding fish. All fish deemed to be above 30lb must be transferred in the net to a weigh sling in the water BEFORE lifting out of the lake. Fish within the confines of your swim area. This is available on our website and in the huts. No sacking or restraining of fish for any reason. Flotation slings are fine for retaining fish for short periods of time while you get your camera and weigh equipment ready. Swims to be kept clean and tidy at all times. Rubbish to be placed only in plastic bin sacks - f.o.c from us. Bottles, aluminium cans and plastic bottles to be placed in the recycling bags provided. All other general rubbish must be put in the black bin sacks please. Cigarette butts and bottle tops, wet wipes, fishing line, rigs etc to be placed in the black bin bag. No fires (leave log piles alone). No loud music. No metal BBQ's are to be used. Disposable BBQ's are allowed. Unsociable behaviour will not be tolerated. Abuse of drugs or alcohol etc. No permanent markers to be used in trees etc. Please close the lake gates behind you. All equipment hired from us to be returned to the cabin cleaned in good order or you may lose your deposit. The management will accept no responsibility for accident or loss.
