Description
French carp holidays on Bill's Lake 5, a very interesting 40 year old gravel pit that we had the opportunity to acquire in 2016 and it is now really starting to show its’ full potential! A lot of work has been done on this lake and now it looks stunning, with no snags and no weed. Holidays on this lake are taken from Friday to Friday, giving you the weekend at home when you leave and the added advantage of cheaper ferry crossings, especially if you use the fishing ferry.com link on the website! Bill's Lake 5 is around 8 acres so it gives plenty of space for groups of up to 6 anglers. Average depths of 12 feet offer plenty of interesting features. The lake essentially consists of 3 double swims and one single swim, but the single is often fished as a double giving each angler a choice where to fish from. The waters’ edge is accessed by steps on two of the doubles. Swims are easy to get to with parking behind and all swims have cabins and picnic benches and raised platforms for your disposable BBQ’s. This lake is booked from a Friday to Friday offering clients a full weekend at home at the end of their week to sort their gear out before work the next week. It is very important that you arrive on time as other lakes check in the same day. The meeting point is the parking area at Bill's Lake 5 at 11.00 where you will be checked in. If you arrive early, please wait outside the gates until then, so that we can clean the facilities and be ready to welcome you Lake 5 is an exciting lake stuffed full of beautiful big fish to give you some "action" during your holiday. The lake currently holds mirror carp to over 59lb, commons to over 62lb and grassies to over 40lb making this lake ideal for newcomers to France as well as the more experienced anglers wanting a good bend in their rods. This lake is producing multiple big hits week after week with plenty of 30’s, 40’s and 50’s gracing the bank.
