Big Carp Fishing France A beautifully restored farmhouse which comfortably sleeps 8 to 10 people and offers lakeside accommodation where you can catch Mirror and Common carp up to 47lbs. We also have a cat fish called “Pickles” caught at it’s biggest weight of 101lbs. The lake is also stocked with some silver fish so you can also enjoy a days course fishing. La Bourgonniere is a premier venue and makes an ideal fishing holiday in France for your family and friends. Location La Bourgonniere is situated in the traditional village of Hambers which is around 20 minutes from the town of Mayenne, approximately 2 hours drive from Le Harve, Caen, St Malo and just over 4 hours from Calais. Dinard Airport is also only a few hours away. So, you have the option to fly or drive whichever suits you best. Carp Fishing The lake is approximately two acres in size and has two purpose built double swims both positioned in front of the house allowing you to enjoy your lunch on the patio without having to reel in your rods. Along with the many lake features, a willow tree sits on a central island, depths range from 3ft to 10ft with silt, clay and gravel areas. The average Carp weight in 2019 has been above 30lbs and no carp have been stocked below 20lbs. The lake has no poison chat or crayfish. Owners The owners, Adrian & Beatrice, have traveled to France on family Carp Fishing Holidays for many years and now feel that they have used their experience to create the perfect family venue for Carp Fishing in France. Lakeside accommodation, luxury facilities, beautiful peaceful location and of course some big carp, La Bourgonniere really does have everything you could ask for. Entertainment We have free Wi-Fi, English Satellite TV, a DVD Player, and even an XBox. We also have lots of films and games. Relax Outdoors there’s a Jacuzzi on the patio, BBQ, Sun Loungers and a table with chairs. The lake is so close that you don’t even have to reel in to enjoy them! The house is very spacious and is set up to comfortably accommodate up to 8-10 people. There’s a large kitchen which is well equipped with a dishwasher and washing machine. What do you get for the price? The fixed prices below include exclusive hire of estate, lakeside house (sleeps 8-10 people), lake, Jacuzzi all set in 9 acres of peaceful French Countryside. You have the place all to yourselves.

Do not bring your own nets, slings or unhooking mats/craddles onto the venue We provide FREE….. X2 Carp Sling/Retainer X2 Carp Unhooking Cradles X2 Landing Nets X2 Bottles Carp Aid/Antiseptic Carp antiseptic provided, please treat every hook hold thank you Lake Rules No leaders or lead core of any kind – anti tangle tube only minimum of 18 inches. No fixed leads – safety rigs only. Micro barb or crushed bard only (no bent hooks or barbless) – we prefer crushed barb. No sacking fish. No standing with fish for photo’s. Please ensure hook links are unclipped or main cut before lifting fish onto the mat. Make sure you have your scales, iodine and camera ready before placing the fish onto the mat. Max 3 rods per angler. No shelf life boilies or nuts of any kind (fresh/frozen boilies only). All particles including pellet must be purchased from La Bourgonniere. Use Carp Aid/Antiseptic on hook hold after every catch. ONLY use our slings and nets do not use/bring your own onto the venue. Always use Carp Cradle. No fires around lake. No littering around the lake (this includes cigarette ends). No breaking of any trees, branches or reeds around the lake. I give my consent for any photo to be used for publicity for La Bourgonniere. To produce this calibre of fish we ask you to read and observe these basic fish handing rules. The observance of these rules will help keep our fish in the mint condition that you deserve. Before lifting the fish onto the unhooking mat have a container ready full of water to wet the unhooking mat, iodine to treat the fish, weighing scales and camera ready. Slide the weigh sling under the landing net and lift the fish from the water using the sling. In warm weather be extra careful.
