New Mill offers a stunning 7.5 acre lake surrounded by mature trees and with lily pad features and mature margins. Depths range from shallow at the top, sloping to 4m at the the other end and the bottom is a mix of gravel and silt.
Choose to stay in the stunning two bedroom converted water mill or opt for drive and survive. The lake is perfect for 4 anglers but can take 5 if you don’t mind sharing. There are 4 swims plus a stalking spot. Swims 1 and 2 have vehicle access. Each swim has a wooden cabin (no need for bivvies).
 
New Mill has 160 carp, including a small number of koi. Owner John Lines points out that this is based on the fish he has personally stocked or witnessed being caught in 2020. There are a number of confirmed 40s so far, including one just under 50. There are 65 known 30s, 38 upper 20s, 30 lower 20s and 22 mid to high teens. The biggest carp seen so far weighed 49lb.

Accommodation

Just yards from the water is a refurbished water mill, which overlooks the lake. It has two bedrooms and sleeps 4 people in comfort. Inside the accommodation is spacious and luxurious. Outside the accommodation it is picture-perfect in a stunning and tranquil location.
Weather you choose to include the accommodation or opt for drive & survive, the facilities at New Mill are very high quality. 

We're sure you'll understand, but to protect the fish and their environment we've come up with some easy to follow rules.
Maximum three rods per angler
Rods must not be left unattended when lines are in the water
No sacking or retaining of fish allowed
Carp cots and weigh slings are provided on site and must be used to prevent cross-contamination
Landing nets must be dipped if requested to prevent cross-contamination
A suitable antiseptic treatment (such as Klin-Ik) must be used at all times
Minimum 15lb mono mainline, no bent hook rigs or braided mainline, micro-barb or barbless hooks only
No particles (except tinned sweetcorn/carp pellets or pre-prepared particles purchased at New Mill) and no nuts of any type
No swimming in the lake and do not tamper with the life buoys provided, which are there for your own protection
We reserve the right to inspect fishing tackle
Arrival time at New Mill Lake is 4pm and departure time is 10am
