Description

Loch'ness Carpe

Loch'ness Carpe has it all. 35 acres with the complete range of fishing choices: bankside accommodation; drive and survive only; double swim; single swim; lakeside lodge options; small and large exclusive groups.
Loch' ness Carpe is a 35 acre carp fishing lake in West France. The lake is split into two distinct sections and can accommodate 11 anglers in total
The main section covers about 29 acres and can accommodate 9 anglers on 5 swims (4 doubles and a single). The smaller section covers about 6 acres and has a double swim for 2 anglers. Each individual angler has around 3 acres to fish to.

French owned and beautifully kept with established shrubs, trees and wildlife. Carp anglers can enjoy fishing for large French carp in comfort, while friends and families can relax around the lakeside accommodation. Loch ness carpe has something for everyone.
Originally a gravel pit, the lake has mixed depths up to 4.5 metres. The lake bottom is made up of areas of gravel, clay & silt. There are some weed areas and crayfish are known to be present, although we have not yet had any reports that these features present a major nuisance. There are no islands but the lake has plenty of natural rushes, plants and mature marginal growth to provide carp holding areas.

The smaller section of the lake has similar lake features to the main section, but has a much more intimate feel and its double swim covers the whole of the water in this section. The fish patrol through both sections of the lake, so all anglers have access to the fish population.

Loch'ness has 6 swims, 5 doubles and a single. Swims 1 and 2 are doubles with accommodation. Swims 3, 4 and 5 are doubles and swim 6 is a single swim for individuals.
Bookings are priced according to swim and the whole lake can be booked on an exclusive basis for up to 11 anglers. The large section of the lake can take up to 9 anglers. Swim 2 has the feel of an exclusive lake with accommodation.

Over 450 carp specimens are free to roam the beautiful clean water. The lake has an abundance of mirror, common & grass carp up to 64lb. The carp weights range from mid 20’s to over 60lb with a good head of 30’s and 40’s. Grass carp go to over 50lb. Other species include pike, tench and mandarin catfish topping out at over 120lb.

Loch' ness Carpe is a recently established venue and was fished mainly by small numbers of European anglers before the COVID pandemic struck. The exact fish numbers and sizes are not yet known, but anglers have already reported putting some stunners on the bank. You should bring waders because all fish photos must be taken in the water.

There are two swims with lakeside lodges, one on each section of the lake, which means that up to 4 anglers can enjoy fishing a large body of water in comfort. The lodges are 30m square and each has a 20sqm terrace.
The lodges are comfortable, stylish, and contain everything you need for a fabulous weeks holiday. They have fridges, Microwaves, cookers and a covered decked area for eating ,relaxing & taking in the views. All this with with a private double swim jetty for fishing.
