Etang Linhay

Etang Linhay is an extremely well stocked carp lake with lakeside accommodation. It's perfect for couples or small groups of up to 3 anglers.
Etang Linhay nestles in the famous Brittany countryside and is not far from the nearest channel ferry port. Relax and unwind in beautiful surroundings or pop out for a drive and find yourself instantly in one of France's most picturesque regions.

Etang Linhay is 1½ acres and it can accommodate 3 Anglers. It has a double swim just 10 metres in front of the accommodation, so it’s perfect if you want to fish socially. The lake has 4 swims in total, so there's plenty of opportunity for peace and quiet if that's what you prefer.
Depths range between 4ft and 7ft and the lake bed is mainly clay. There are two small islands, which provide extra features to fish to.
Etang Linhay has 55 carp with an average weight of 35lb. There are no carp under 20lb and the largest specimens weigh over 40lb. Apart from a sturgeon and a few small grass carp, there are no other species and no nuisance fish. That's an impressive stock and it means that a bend in the rod will result in a quality fish on the bank.
The fisherman's cabin is located just 10 metres from the main fishing swim on the lake. It has a fully equipped kitchen including gas hob, oven, fridge, double sofa bed and heating if required. A perfect place if some home comforts are needed. It is also suitable for a couple if tent life doesn’t appeal for the week.

No landing nets to be brought on site. We provide these for you.
Maximum of 3 anglers with a 6 rod limit.
Bait boats are allowed.
Minimum 15lb main line.
No leadcore or leaders of any description.
No braided line or shock leaders allowed.
No fixed/bolt or tethered rigs allowed.
A minimum of 18” tubing to be used with all rigs.
Anglers are welcome to use any quality boilies.
No nuts of any description.
Crushed or micro-barbed hooks only.
No curved long shanked hooks.
No sacking or retaining of fish under any circumstances.
Please respect the owners at all times and keep radios etc. to a sensible volume.
No hemp allowed. Other particles and pellet must be purchased from Etang Linhay.
Unhooking cradles and weigh-slings are provided by Etang Linhay, please ensure correct use.
Fishing is only permitted from designated swims.
Do not leave rods unattended.
No standing with fish for photos.
Please ensure hook-links are unclipped or main line cut before lifting the fish into the weigh sling and cradle.
Make sure you have your weighing scales, iodine and camera ready BEFORE placing the fish into the cradle).
Grass carp cannot be lifted out of the water and put on the bank at any time and are to be unhooked and weighed in the water.
Drunk or disorderly behaviour deemed unreasonable and could put at risk the safety of any individuals or fish stock will result in your holiday being terminated and you will be asked to leave the fishery.
