Dreamcatchers Lake

Our beautiful tree lined lake of 8 acres was dug out in 1971 with the depths of 8.5 foot at the dam end, slowing running down to 3 feet at the shallow end. We have 6-7 swims that have been crafted to suite easily comfortable angling. We brought the estate in 2017, and for the previous 46 years it has not been fished, so we are very eager to discover its secrets.

We quickly discovered that we have a small healthy stock of prestige carp that have been undisturbed for many years, they are mostly weighing over 30lbs. So, with this in mind we have undertaken a stocking programme and these new fish were introduced into the water in October 2017. Our new commons and mirrors adjusted quickly to their new environment and have settled in beautifully, we now have 195 fish our current lake record is 56 lbs there are also a good head of 40’s 30’s 20’s and some doubles.

Our luxury gite over looks our beautiful lake, where we offer high quality accommodation for all the family. The extended farmhouse boasts five double bedrooms, all having a fantastic view of the estate, three of the bedrooms have double beds, one with twin beds and a family room that consists of a double bed and a day bed that can sleep up to two people. We supply hotel quality bedding and towels, but we do ask for you to bring your own towels for swimming. There are two bathrooms, one of which has a utility area with a washing machine and tumble dryer and downstairs there is also a W.C.

The kitchen diner offers all the comforts of a home cooker, microwave, large fridge freezer, dishwasher, coffee machine and all you need to cook up a storm. There is also a large table that seats 14 people with patio doors that overlook the lake.

The living area is a very large “L” shaped room with four sets of French doors allowing light to flood in. One end of the room is set up as a snug, with a 48” smart TV, accompanied by a PlayStation 4 with a selection of games, as well as a Wii. There is a large wood burner and also a large “L” shaped sofa that can convert into a double bed this looks out onto the patio and pool area.

We have a spacious heated swimming pool with a child safety feature surrounded by a patio with sun loungers and stairs that take you to a raised decked area. One end there is an outdoor undercover cooking and dining space that leads off from the decking with a chill out area, large open decked area with a built in BBQ. Discover also our new eco woodburning hot tub with jacuzzi bubbles and disco lights 

We supply landing nets unhooking mats weigh slings and tripod.
3rods max per angler ,do not leave your rods unattended at any time !!!
No sacking of fish , no leaders,  no lead core, no braided main line,
Barbless or micro barbed hooks only,
All rig tubing to be a minimum of 50cm, minimum of 15lbs line.
Saftey rigs only , ie the lead must be able to come off in the event of a breakage.
No inexperienced anglers / children under 18 are not to fish alone they must be supervised by a experienced angler in your group at all times.
Please make sure your swim in organised and ready to unhook fish in unhooking mat!!!
Please use sling and tripod provided to weigh fish .
Fish to be treated with antiseptic paste at point of hook hole.
Fish to be held for photos at knee height and over unhooking mat.
Row boat may be used with life jackets entirely at your own risk.
Please pick up any rubbish around the lake, ie tackle, bottles, cigarette butts ,etc and put them in rubbish bags in the house.
Cars can be used to transport you equipment to your swims ,and then park up at the house.
Any gear hire must be returned to the barn please.
No bait of any kind to be brought to the lake except fresh frozen boilies.
Only pellets and boilies to be used as bait.
