Lodge Lake

Lodge Lake is a stunning, mature 4 acre lake set within 7 acres of  dazzling rural countryside near the city of Limoges in the Central area of France.
Over the years we have created a perfectly balanced fishery that offers phenomenal action for big, healthy Carp and Cats.
The Lodge Lake gets its name from the gorgeous waterside lodge and is 100% exclusive to you and your party.
A great action water, with catches of 100+ fish in a week not unheard of,…in fact, the Lodge lake contains 350 specimen fish, Flawless Mirror and Common Carp up to 50lb, Monster Catfish up to 130lb, breathtaking Koi up to 30lb, Sturgeon up to 35lb, along with Tench, Pike, Roach and Rudd.
Our fish are extremely healthy, powerful and full of energy.
The lake with its small island in the shallows is fed from an inlet and is 12 feet deep at its deepest point. With a bed of silt and sand it includes many features including gravel bars & plateaux, shallow bays.

The Lakeside Lodge is your home away from home to relax in while having a break from the fishing. Look out over the lake and surrounding fields full of sheep and cows and take in the peace and tranquility of the countryside with the sounds of the big lunking carp that will keep you up all night !
Enjoy alfresco dining on the waterside terrace that overlooks the lake, with a brick built BBQ, outside table and 8 chairs there’s plenty of space to relax and ponder your fishing tactics…
To the side of the Lodge is a large terraced area with an above ground pool to cool off in when it all gets too hot !!
You can also chill out with a game of pool or darts or go for a stroll around the grounds.
The Lodge itself has 3 twin bedrooms upstairs, two overlook the lake and the third bedroom looks out to the grounds behind. You will also find the bathroom up here with a toilet, sink, and shower.
Downstairs the living room has a 3-seater and 2-seater sofa, TV with UK free view channels, DVD and CD player, books if you fancy a read and some family boardgames. The large patio doors open out onto the terrace.
The separate large kitchen is fully equipped with an electric fan-assisted oven, electric hob, microwave, dishwasher, toaster, kettle, a full size fridge freezer and a dining table with 6 chairs. A double glazed door leads out onto the terrace area with easy access to the BBQ.
Wifi is available at the Lodge.  

you are not allowed to bring any outside bait to either of our lakes…..no particle bait is to be used or brought on-site. you must use lodge lakes own bait that is always available on site.
if anyone is found using other baits the whole group will be asked to leave the premises with no refund so please ensure that every group member reads these rules and regulations.
you may bring pop­ups and plastic hook baits.
hooks must be barbed (yes barbed!), size 2, 4 or 6. no use of treble hooks.
the lead system must be mcf slipper system or dumper system, you can buy this at johnsontackle.co.uk if you buy the dumper you will lose your  lead on every pick up but with the slipper system you do not normally lose the lead. no other lead clip systems are allowed (no exceptions!)
rods and reels must be suitable for fishing big carp or big cats.
nylon and fluorocarbon mainlines must be a minimum 0.30mm diameter and 15lb minimum.
no lead core or leaders of any kind to be used or brought on to premises. no shock leaders or fixed leads.
your hooklinks must have a plastic coating. coated braid can be used. we recommend 15lb snake­bite / snake­skin / snake-­mantis, etc..
if live baiting for catfish you will need catfish braid and 1/0 to 4/0 hooks.
3 rods maximum per angler, leaving your rods unattended is a crime! please refrain from doing so. if you leave your rods, leave the lake.
landing nets must be a minimum of 42 inches. weigh slings must be strong and suitable for big carp. all of these items must be present in your swims at all times.
carp cradles and weigh slings are supplied, the carp cradles must be used at all times.
do not take fish out of the lake until you have all the necessary bits ready i.e. weigh sling (wet), unhooking mat, scales, camera etc.
no sacking of fish. do not stand up whilst holding the fish.
do not move any fish from one swim to another. do not carry any fish other than in a proper sling or bag.
bait boats are allowed. there is use of a rowing boat so that you can row out your bait and drop your rig from the boat.
no litter of any description – this includes cigarette ends, line, hooks, beer bottles and tops etc
no fires
