Welcome to Etang Le Rocher, a specialised Carp fishing venue set in the beautiful countryside of historic Normandy, France.

THE LAKE
This stunning venue lies in a very rustic and peaceful part of Normandy, close to a couple of small villages. This beautiful stream-fed, 100+ year-old lake boasts eight well-constructed swims, three of them doubles for a maximum of eight anglers at any one time. A fence has been erected, making the lake completely private, peaceful and secure.

We have created numerous features including gravel bars, clay patches, reed and lily beds, with plenty of different depths ranging from 14ft to 2ft. This will increase the bio diversity and ecology of the whole lake and will ensure that the water quality is good for many years to come, with the aim of producing some massive carp for you to catch.

Everything we have done has created a lake that the fish love to be in and that you the angler will love to fish. 

THE STOCK
We now have a total stock of approximately 150 beautiful fish consisting of carp up to 51lbs & grass carp to 44lbs

As we aim is to be one of the best fisheries in France, the condition and size of our fish is of the upmost importance to us. To achieve this we will limit the amount of fishing at the lake in 2018 and every year we will rest the lake for at least a few weeks and allow the fish to get their heads down and feed. Since the fish have been introduced to the lake they have been fed on a diet recommended by top fish farmers and biologists. 

This all means you have a good chance of catching a fish of a life time at Etang Le Rocher.

Don’t forget your camera. Our bailiffs are at hand as little or as often as you require, but it is in everyone’s interest that he keeps a record on the number of fish caught and sizes, so all catch logs and photos would be most helpful. Thank you. Also any new lake records get a free hoody. 

THE ACCOMMODATION
We offer the ultimate lake side house – fish from the sofa!

The house is available to rent out with the lake and boasts a luxury kitchen, bathroom with heated flooring and dining area. The house can accommodate ten people, with every room having beautiful views of the lake. For holidays during colder months, enjoy the warmth of the wood burner.

We have made a swim in front, which will give you the option of fishing from your living room if you have hired the whole lake and to yourself and your party.

We will be doing as much as we can to make your stay as pleasurable as possible, some of these are:

Baliff Lodge for breakfast, dinner, snacks etc.
Newly refurbished shower and toilet block
Big Screen TVs in the Lake House
Fully stocked bait and tackle shop
8 swims (5 singles and 3 doubles) with plenty of features and varied depths
Electricity in every swim
Free Wi-Fi in the Baliff Lodge and House

Only lake nets, mats and slings to be used.
No fish to be retained or left unattended. All fish to be returned to the lake as soon as possible.
Rods are NEVER left unattended.
Only barbed or micro-barbed hooks to be used.
No type of Curved Shank or long shank hooks to be used. Minimum size 8 hook.
Safe rigs only. Rig tubing or safe zone leaders must be used at all times. Leads must eject if line breakage occurs.
Every angler must have forceps or they can be borrowed from us. (£5 refundable deposit required).
No Zig rigs.
No Kamakura hooks.
No Korda Goo.
Minimum 15lb mainline to be used. No braid or lead core. All lines will be tested.
Maximum three rods per angler.
All fish to be returned unharmed or unmarked.
Only our own particle should be used. (Notice required if bait needed).
Clinic iodine or similar to be used on ALL catches. (If you don’t have these, we have them for sale at the lake).
All litter, including cigarette ends, must be placed in the bins provided.
No bonfires.
The House must be left clean and tidy.
The management takes no responsibility for injury, loss or damage to you or your property.
All equipment hired or borrowed must be returned in the condition it was hired and returned to the bailiff before departure, or you may lose some or all of your damage deposit.
No climbing trees.
Use of the boat is not permitted.
Please leave the lake clean and tidy by 10am on your final Saturday morning.
