Description

The Jolly Pads Lake is over 3-acres and we have set this lake up to be a bit more relaxing for the angler as a social lake and is the easiest on the complex, with 120+ weight gaining carp up to and above 55lb+ and a nice stock of hard fighting 20’s, 30’s a fair few 40’s, we also have Merve the sturgeon some nice koi and some big grass carp also into the 50lb bracket.

Jolly pads is suitable for single anglers, small groups and families or as exclusive hire to come and chill and relax and have some fun for the week.

The lake is silty, hard and soft clay but also features a large plateaux with hard clay, stone, sand, gravel and also has a few lily beds depending on the time of year and also a few over hanging trees around the margins. We have two large double swims on one bank both made from bulky timbers and filled with different hardcore for good drainage and topped with soft gravel for your bivvies, so Jollys makes a great social lake, there are also some great stalking spots around the lake too if you want to go off and do something different.

Nice beds of pellet and plenty of particle with a mix of chops & whole boilies work well either spombing or by using a bait boat.

Find the other waters on our complex here:

North Lake 1 - 5 Acres
Simons Lake 2 - 3 Acres
All 3 carp fishing lakes here at Eden’s Lakes are fed by a number of sources which include streams and natural springs and were constructed in 1994 as part of a specific plan to create a fish farm that would produce fish for the table. The site is built on very rich agricultural land and is extremely rich in nutrients and natural foods, this is what sets us out from other venues and makes the outstanding weight gains that our fish have seen possible.

The lake beds are made up of mainly clay with several silt and gravel areas that the fish clearly frequent. A marker rod is an essential tool as during the nettings we found there are many areas were the fish have fed hard and created deeper holes on the lake beds and these are also great areas to look out for.
