The Federal Pond of Saulx les Chartreux is a body of water located in the town of the same name, in the department of Essonne (91), in the Île-de-France region. Fed by the Yvette river, the federal pond of Saulx-les-Chartreux has an area of 7 hectares in the heart of green spaces of 50 hectares. This artificial lake was dug to retain the floods of the Yvette river and has become a nature reserve. It offers good fishing conditions and has a good fish density of white fish (bleak, roach, bream), predators (pike perch, pike, perch) and common carp of intermediate size. Regular AAPPMA stockings take place on this body of water. It is an ideal site for both novice and seasoned anglers.
