La Seine – Secteur Athis‐Mons
The Seine - Sector Athis ‐ Mons - is a French river that crosses the department of Essonne (91), in the Île-de-France region. 776 kilometers long, the Seine flows through the Paris Basin and waters in particular Troyes, Paris, Rouen and Le Havre. Its source is located at an altitude of 446 meters at Source-Seine, in Côte-d´Or, on the Langres plateau. Its course has a general orientation from south-east to north-west. It flows into the English Channel between Le Havre and Honfleur. The Seine is navigable for a large part of its route. It offers great fish wealth with the presence of many species of white fish (bleak, roach, bream, barbel, tench), predators (pike, pike perch, perch, catfish) and common wild carp and mirrors of intermediate size with large large subjects up to 30 kg. The fishing pressure is relatively low and the carp are not suspicious. The main difficulty of fishing lies in the wind and the current which is quite strong especially at the beginning of the season. But it is all these random conditions that make the charm of river fishing ... The carp are cut to fight against the current and offer magnificent fights.
