Le Clain - Sector St Benoit - is a French river that crosses the departments of Charente (16) and Vienne (86), in the Nouvelle-Aquitaine region. The Clain is a left tributary of the Vienne and a sub-tributary of the Loire river. 144 kilometers long, the Clain originates in the Charente department, but most of its course is located in the Vienne. In a wild and unspoiled setting, its course cuts heavily through the plateaus, forming a steep-sided valley fifty meters deep. Its meandering course forms steep and steep banks. It offers a good fish population and good fishing possibilities despite the difficulty of the terrain.
