The lake of Notre Dame De Commiers is an artificial lake located in the town of the same name in the department of Isère (38) , in the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region, in the south-east of France. In a wild and natural setting , with an area of 161 hectares , the lake of Notre Dame De Commiers is an EDF dam lake crossing the “Isles du Drac” regional nature reserve . In a deep valley, at the foot of the mountains , at an altitude of about 360 meters, it is a reservoir of turquoise water offering splendid landscapes of rare beauty. It is a site very popular with nature lovers, hikers and fishermen. It has a great fish diversity in white fish (bleak, roach, bream, tench, rudd), predators (pike, pike perch, perch, trout) and common carp and mirrors of intermediate size with beautiful subjects that can easily reach 20 kg . At night, it is forbidden to keep or hold captured carp or to transport them. Night fishing, as well as camping and bivouacs are prohibited within the perimeter of Sensitive Natural Areas and in National Nature Reserves.
