Mequinenza Lake
Mequinenza Lake is located on the Ebro, in the province of Zaragoza and Huesca, Aragon, Spain. Reservoir, known as the “ Sea of Aragon ”, it extends over the provinces of Zaragoza and Huesca. This lake has blue , limestone and crystalline waters in summer. The development of plankton makes the water greener and less clear in the warmer season. The coasts are wild , rocky and bare , the vegetation is southern. Long bays are interrupted by many wild creeks or very long and high cliffs bordering the lake. A splendid landscape which is sometimes reminiscent of Vouglans in much more arid condition.
