Lake Ontario

Lake Ontario covers an area of ​​about 55 ha, with a variable depth of 1.5 to 5 m, and it is fished exclusively on a catch and release basis.

The northern side of the Ontario gorge is rounded off by the Sava River. Ontario is rich in pike and you will find specimens weighing up to 25lb. As far as carp fishing is concerned, they have been recording successful carp spawning for several years and stocking up so that the water is rich in 25-40lb carp however there are many much larger specemins with common, mirror and grass carp to over 85lb. 

Fishing at night is allowed from Friday to Saturday, Saturday to Sunday and the days before the holidays in the period from April 1 to November 30, 2022, and other days by announcement to the fish guard service and the presidency
It is forbidden to bring hooks and food into the water by swimming or using any vessels. Feeding from the shore is allowed. 
It is forbidden to mark the position of fishing and to claim the right to own fishing ground, as well as to leave accessories and equipment without the presence of the owner.
Fishermen are obliged to maintain the cleanliness of the fishing place, regardless of whether they have polluted the shore themselves or found it polluted. 
It is strictly forbidden to light fires on the ground in fishing positions (leg grills are allowed)
It is forbidden to start fishing without a valid fishing license, and adequate equipment for receiving, storing and releasing fish (suitable pad - eyelet max. 2cm, pillow for storing fish, soft net of guards of appropriate size). Any contact of fish with the ground, gravel, as well as unsportsmanlike reception of fish is prohibited.
Protective measures add to the fishing license: all fish weighing more than 5 kg (grass carp of 10 kg) caught in closed waters should be returned to the water undamaged on a catch and release basis. 
The use of babushka as live or dead bait for fishing for predatory fish is strictly prohibited .
Fishing is allowed using three rods, each with one hook.
Younger anglers up to 15 years. ages are allowed to fish only in the presence of seniors and only on one fishing tackle on the principle of catch and release.
According to the new Law on Freshwater Fisheries, registration is required upon arrival at the water as well as departure, and the entry of catches at the end of fishing is mandatory.
It is forbidden to use any type of safety net
Prohibited: use of nylon thinner than 0.28 mm, use of twine as a basic thread (can be a shock leader), fishing on ZIG technique (maximum length of the mooring is 50 cm) and use of SPOD rod as a hunting rod, use of a system where intentional release of lead and systems that do not allow the release of fish in the event of a rupture of the main nylon
It is mandatory to use an adequate side pad with a minimum size of 90 cm and a mesh diameter of no more than 1 cm.
The use of round mats with a metal frame is prohibited
It is mandatory to use an adequate "tub" for fish disposal (separate from the ground). The use of "pillows" without side panels is not permitted
