Lake of the Liez
Lac de la Liez is a water reservoir located in the municipalities of Peigney and Lecey in the department of Haute-Marne (52), in the Grand Est region, in France. The Lac de la Liez is one of the four artificial reservoirs around Langres intended to ensure the navigability of the Marne-Saône canal . With an area of 278 hectares, in a wild and preserved setting, it is a natural site offering remarkable flora and fauna with the presence of many migratory birds and birds of prey. It has 14 kilometers of shoreline and its maximum depth is nearly 15 meters . It is very popular with nature lovers, tourists and fishermen. It is like Lac de Charmes, renowned for the size of its pike and its carp. It has a rich fish diversity in white fish (roach, bleak, bream, tench) in predators (pike with the presence of large subjects, zander, perch) and a good population of common carp and mirrors of intermediate size reaching for some more than 20 kg .

Fishing with vegetable baits only. Only from the edge using stretched lines perpendicular to the shore for a maximum length of 100 meters. The circulation of thermal and electric motor boats is authorized on the entire lake. No carp caught by recreational anglers may be held in captivity or transported from half an hour after sunset until half an hour before sunrise.
