Amance Lake

The Amance lake is located in the town of Dienville in the department of Aube (10) , in Greater East region.

Lac Amance and Lac du Temple are two artificial lakes that form the Aube reservoir-lake , which aim to protect Paris and its agglomeration from the devastating floods of the Seine.

Lake Amance, with an area of 500 hectares , is the smaller of the two basins of the Aube lake-reservoir. and the smallest of the great lakes of the Seine.

It owes its name to the Amance river which crosses the lake, and which itself takes its name from the town of Amance, located further south.

It offers an average depth of 5 to 12 meters with a very large bottom whose breaks are home to many carp.

It conceals a remarkable fauna and flora as well as a rich fish diversity in white fish, predators (pike, pike perch and perch) and a beautiful population of common and mirror carp of intermediate size with subjects of more than 20 kg.

It is a very popular place for tourists, nature lovers and fishermen.

Fishing with vegetable baits only.
No carp caught by amateur anglers may be held in captivity or transported from half an hour after sunset until half an hour before sunrise.
The distance of the tensioned lines must not exceed 100 meters in accordance with the prefectural decree.
Benchmarks are mandatory.
Boat fishing restriction from June 15 to August 31 for weekends, Saturdays and Sundays: morning fishing from legal time until 10 a.m. In the afternoon, fishing resumes at 7 p.m. until legal time. Monday to Friday: fishing authorized during legal hours.
The use of a boat for night carp fishing is prohibited.
