Lac de la Dathée is located in the small town of Saint-Manvieu-Bocage, in the department of Calvados (14) , in the Normandy region. Lac de la Dathée is an artificial lake of 43 hectares, nestled in lush greenery just 8 kilometers from the town of Vire. At the heart of a 10 hectare ornithological reserve , managed by the Norman ornithological group, 86 species of birds (ducks, coots, grebes, snipe) are observed and listed . It shelters an interesting fish population of predators, cyprinids and common carp of intermediate size.
