Laouzas Lake
Laouzas lake is an artificial lake located in the towns of Nages and Murat sur vébre in the Tarn department (81) , in the Occitanie region. Located at an altitude of 790 meters , in the Haut Languedoc Natural Park , on the border of Hérault (34) and Aveyron (12) , for an area of 335 hectares , Lake Laouzas is a particularly calm revealing a wild and pleasant landscape with abundant vegetation. Its transparent water lets you discover rocky and sandy bottoms and promises you great fishing trips. It is very popular with tourists, nature lovers and fishermen. It has a good piscicultural density of white fish, a beautiful population of predators (pike, pike perch, perch) and a magnificent population of wild common and very combative mirror carps.
