The forest environment allows the practice of mountain biking and hiking. Although Hirbach is popular for many sports, it is known particularly for its excellent carp fishing, especially thanks to the fishing school and the adherents of the passionate carp association 57. Situated in the north-east of France, The Hirbach pond, with a perimieter of 4.1 miles, is part of the aquatic Maginot line, created in 1939 to complete the hole left in the Maginot line by the Saar's refusal by referendum to become French.
