The natural lake of Soustons or pond of Soustons is located in the communes of Soustons and d'Azur , in the department of Landes (40) , in the South West of France. This 400 hectare lake stretches over 6 kilometers. Its shores offer different landscapes: marshes, streams, small island, forest of tall pines. It is a privileged area for fishing , with a large fish population. It is rich in predators (pike and pikeperch of good size, perch) and white fish (bleak, roach, bream) and has a good population of common and mirror carp of intermediate size with subjects easily reaching 20 kg . It is an ideal place for your carp fishing sessions . Carp enduros are organized there. It is also the most welcoming lake for sailing and rowing enthusiasts. This natural site is classified Natura 2000. It is very popular with nature lovers, tourists and fishermen.
