Saint-Agnan lake
The Saint Agnan lake is located on the Cousin, in the Morvan regional natural park, in the department of Nièvre (58), in the south-west of the Bourgogne-Franche-Comté region. Artificial lake 160 m long and 16 m high. It retains a body of water with an area of 150 hectares at constant level. This water reservoir allows drinking water to be supplied to around thirty surrounding villages. Second category fish, this lake has a little Irish air throughout its upper part, fairly flat and surrounded by meadows. It takes on a slightly deeper aspect and widens (12 m) near the dam. The bottom is dreary and almost flat, it only becomes chaotic near the dam. However, stumps and low walls are omnipresent on this lake. The old submerged dam is in the direction of the current dam, it is located opposite the Saint Pierre Chapel, we go from eight meters of water to three meters with the sounder. Night carp fishing in Saint-Agnan is authorized for 600 meters near the dam. Navigation on the lake is authorized, provided that an electric motor is used. Note the good population of zander and perch in its waters. Please note, the lake is not part of the Public Domain, a Nivernaise card or interdepartmental reciprocity is necessary.

No carp caught by amateur anglers may be kept in captivity or transported from half an hour after sunset until half an hour before sunrise. Only boilies and baits of vegetable origin are authorized during night fishing. The existence of a night course does not in any case authorize camping, regulated by each municipality on its territory.
