The Maury lake is located north of the Aveyron department (12), on the “La Viadène” plateau, near Saint-Amans-des-Cots. It extends over 167 hectares at the confluence of the Selves and Selvet rivers. With a maximum depth of 45 meters, its banks are sometimes very steep. The Maury lake is famous for its carp and its populations of percids (perch and pike perch). - Easily accessible at many points (forest track along the lake to the dam on the left bank), it is by boat that it will be the most pleasant to explore. The lake is little visited by tourists even in summer.
