Lac de Sarrans
Lake Sarrans is located at the northern tip of the Aveyron department (12), in the Occitanie region. On the foothills of Aubrac, it stretches over more than 1000 hectares within the gorges of the Truyère. It is the wildest of all the Aveyron lakes. It mainly has very wooded banks with steep slopes. Its maximum depth is 90 m - with these rocky drop offs, its flooded forests, it is the predator lake par excellence! This lake is only accessible from the shore at a few points (Pont de Tréboul - Cantal and the Laussac peninsula). Apart from these sectors, the boat is essential.

Brochure Aveyron 2018 Carp anglers must refer to the pike perch reserves where all fishing is prohibited in these reserve areas, from April 2, 2018 to June 8, 2018 inclusive. Is punished with a fine of 22,500 € the fact for an amateur fisherman, to transport alive the carp of more than 60 cm. From half an hour after sunset, until half an hour before sunrise, no carp caught by amateur anglers can be kept in captivity or transported.
