The Home of 30's
Sheltered between the reservoir and the River Roding within stunning countryside is Meadow Lake. The lake was purposely designed and stocked with carp anglers in mind. It has a range of underwater features and an island so there are plenty of good fishing areas other than the margins. The lake has been stocked with the same strains of carp as ‘The Res’ to sizes 35lb+ with a large head of 20’s and doubles. It has 5 purpose-built wood chipped swims socially positioned along one bank with plenty of water, features and opposite bank fishing available. With close convenient parking only a very short distance away and with flat banks this lake is also very accessible to everyone. This lake can be fished by individuals by pre-booking a swim or groups 4/5 exclusively hiring the lake. There is an estimated 90-100 carp in Meadow lake with around 4 of these topping 30lb+ to 35lb at the right time of year. There is a variety of ways the carp get caught from this lake, which could be up against the island, fishing to the far margin or even mid water on zigs - this lake really is for everyone.
