Lac de Saint-Cassien
Of a very particular shape, the lake extends over 4 municipalities: Tanneron, Montauroux, Callian and Les Adrets de l'Estérel. To the south, it receives the waters of the Maraval and Fontesante streams, to the east of the Riou Fer, to the west of the Ermite, the Camiole and the Biançon, and to the north of the Siagne by a bypass channel. lnitially intended for the production of hydroelectric power, the lake has become a coveted but still fragile recreational area. It is up to everyone to respect the site, in particular its fauna and flora. On the eastern part of the lake is the Fondurane biological reserve managed by CEN Paca, the conservatory of natural areas of Provence Alpes Côte d'Azur. A Mecca for predator and carp fishing, the Lake stands out for the presence of large fish. From playful bleak fishing on the surface to the practice of float-tube, Lake Saint-Cassien is the destination for all anglers!

Night carp fishing is prohibited all year round. In the western arm, delimited downstream by an axis taken between the nautical base and the point of "Kevin Ellis", and upstream by the limit of the Fondurane reserve, carp fishing is prohibited day and night from January 1 to June 30 inclusive. Electric motor authorized; heat engine prohibited The removal of lines by boat is authorized within the limit of 100m from the fishing post. The lines must be indicated on the surface by floating markers located directly above the fixtures. The use of hand-crafted floating markers is prohibited. The captured carp must be immediately returned to the water after any photos. The holding of carp in bags as well as their transport is strictly prohibited. All anglers must stay close to their lines when they are in the process of fishing. Gas stoves and fires are strictly prohibited all year round. Wild camping is prohibited on the lake all year round. Shelters (tent, umbrella-tent, biwy, etc.) are prohibited. Vigilance; the regulation of carp fishing on St Cassien is likely to be modified during the year. It is therefore preferable to inquire with the AAPPMA.
