Lake Aiguebelette
Lac d'Aiguebelette is a natural lake located in France in the Savoie department (73) , in the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region. Its shores are shared between five riverside municipalities: Aiguebelette-le-Lac, Lépin-le-Lac, Saint-Alban-de-Montbel, Novalaise and Nances. In the southern part of the lake there are two islands , surrounded by reed beds . A true natural gem of 545 hectares, it is “ an emerald pearl in its green setting ”. Its calm and pure waters are the kingdom of lavaret (whitefish) and arctic char. In order to preserve the quality of its waters and its environment, motor boats have been prohibited on the lake since a decree of 1967. Since March 2015, it has also been the first regional freshwater nature reserve in France.. It offers a rich fish diversity in white fish, predators (pike perch and pike of good size) and common and mirror carp of intermediate size with a record of 27 kg.

Rules
Night fishing is exclusively reserved for carp fishing. Fishing is practiced from the shore at the posts referenced by the Prefectural Order with two fishermen maximum per post. Fishing is done with a maximum of 4 rods per fisherman. Fishing inside the reeds protected by stakes is strictly prohibited Any modification to the vegetation is prohibited. The use of animal bait is prohibited. Priming must be reasonable. Fishing is authorized within a radius of 150 m maximum around the DE JOUR COMME DE NUIT post with the exception of post n ° 3 Night fishing involves “No Kill Complete”. All the carp caught will be returned to the water at their place of capture. No movement of fish will be tolerated. The handling of carp involves the possession of a reception mattress worthy of the name. The use of "Back Lead" is MANDATORY so as not to disturb other practitioners. Any fisherman fishing in open waters must be in possession of his fishing license to justify his membership of an AAPPMA. It must have a CPMA stamp, a photograph and must be signed. A fisherman must stay in the immediate vicinity of his rods. It is forbidden to use as bait species that are the subject of a regulatory size, protected, likely to create biological imbalances or not represented. It is prohibited to peddle, offer for sale or sell fish caught in open water. The transport of live carp over 60 cm is prohibited.
