Three Island Lake Fishery
Three Island Lake opened for fishing 15 years ago and offers anglers enjoyable day-ticket fishing on the Bedfordshire/Buckinghamshire border to the west of Leighton Buzzard. The fishery is just a 20-minute drive from the shopping metropolis of Milton Keynes. Taken over by new owners in 2014, the spring-fed Three Island Lake is part of a 50-acre grassland farm in the middle of open countryside within easy driving distance of plenty of idyllic pubs, inns and restaurants. Indeed, despite its rural location, there is plenty to do for those who don't want to go fishing. The fishery is open from March to September from 7.30am to 7.30pm or dusk if earlier. In November the opening times are from 8.00am until 4.00pm or dusk if earlier. The lake will be closed during December and January and in February will be open from 8.00am to 4.00pm or dusk if earlier. In summer there will be no entry to the lake from 5.00pm and Night Fishing is not allowed. For those looking for peaceful fishing in a tranquil setting, Three Island Lake offers an excellent day-ticket venue for anglers living in the area and a delightful out-of-the-way venue for anglers and their partners looking for a few days away from home staying in one of the many Bed and Breakfasts or hotels in the area.
