Zújar Reservoir

It covers an area of ​​4,524 ha. Zújar is equipped with a good tourist infrastructure, with its viewpoints, piers, beaches and a natural pool. That allows the enjoyment of the water during the summer. 

The Isla del Zújar Rural Tourism Complex is located on the banks of the reservoir, an ideal place to rest or enjoy fishing and nature. 

For fishing it is a joy, it must be said that the current record for carp in Spain was caught here, with a specimen weighing almost 35 kg. The banks are largely covered with aquatic plants, which in some cases can make fishing from shore difficult. Zújar has a very beautiful landscape, hills and hills of intense green grass, dotted with slate needles. 

That is the peculiar landscape that repeats itself.Arriving at the La Serena dam, there is an area with forest suitable for fishing for blackbass and pike. A little higher just below the dam is an area that is a real hotspot for these two species.
