Horno Tejero
The Horno Tejero reservoir is a quiet place located between the Sierra de San Pedro and Cordobilla de Lácara. It is fed by the Lácara river and surrounded by lush cork oaks. It is a resting place for birds, including the black stork, and declared a Special Protection Area for Birds. This calm sheet of water contains some of the largest carp in Spain. In fact, it is known for having given successive records in Spain including a 34.4 kg (75lb) specimen, obtained in April 2010.

The reservoir is a preserve, so you must obtain a daily permit, or become a member of the society that manages it: the Sociedad de Pesca Desportiva "Los Embalses". Permissions can be obtained at the bar "El Cazador" in Cordovilla de Lácara (telephone: 606139367). The daily limits regarding catches are: 5 Carp (greater than 18 cm.) And 5 Black Bass (greater than 21 cm. There is no limitation for pike.
