Lac de Pannecière

Pannecière lake or Pannecière-Chaumard reservoir-lake extends over the municipalities of Chaumard, Corancy, Montigny-en-Morvan and Ouroux-en-Morvan, in the department of Nièvre (58), in the south-west from the Bourgogne-Franche-Comté region. 

Located to the west of the Morvan natural region, the lake and its dam were built between 1937 and 1949 to indirectly protect, through its tributary of the Yonne, the city of Paris from flooding caused by the Seine, like that of 1910. It is thus both the oldest and the smallest of the great lakes of the Seine and the largest and one of the most recent great lakes of the Morvan. The reputation of the Pannecière site is growing every year. 

It is getting harder and harder to get a job in the middle of the season. It offers very good fishing conditions and has a very good fish density of white fish, predators and common and mirror carp with the presence of very beautiful subjects. A natural site that will delight lovers of wild nature and fishing.

Only boilies and baits of vegetable origin are authorized during night fishing. No carp caught by amateur anglers can be kept in captivity or transported from half an hour after sunset until half an hour before sunrise.
