Lac de la Ganguise
The Ganguise lake is a body of water located in the commune of Baraigne in the Aude department in the south of France. With an area of 500 hectares and a length of 6 kilometers, the lake of Ganguise is a dam lake, of incredible beauty, formed of two arms which meet at the level of the dam to the northwest and collect mainly the waters of the Ganguise River. It is the most important body of water in the department in a natural and unspoiled setting. It has a rich fish diversity in white fish, predators (pike perch, pike, perch) and cyprinids. Very popular with nature lovers and fishermen, you can also observe the varied flora and fauna of this natural site, in particular the gray heron, the kingfisher and the whistling duck.
