La Saône – Secteur Port sur Saône
The Saône - Port sur Saône sector - is a river in eastern France that crosses the Haute-Saône (70) department, in the Bourgogne-Franche-Comté region. With a length of nearly 480 kilometers, the Saône is the main tributary of the Rhône. It is the ninth longest river in France. The Saône has its source in Vioménil at the foot of Ménamont, south of the Seuil de Lorraine (Vosges department), at an altitude of 405 meters. It merges with the Rhône at Lyon, at an altitude of 163 meters. The Saône is one of the most beautiful rivers in France, whose gentle slope and regular flow make it an easy and gentle waterway. It weaves its way between fortified towns and the hillsides of the famous Mâconnais and Beaujolais vineyards. It is a Natura 2000 classified site. It is recognized by the European Union for the richness of its ecological heritage. It has a rich fish diversity in white fish (bleak, roach, bream, chub), predators (pike, pike perch, perch, catfish) and common carp and mirrors of intermediate size with subjects weighing up to 20 kg. Taking into account the numerous gleanings and fish, one will avoid the priming with the seeds, the pellets and the meat boilies. We will then favor TigerNuts and fruity boilies. It is a river very popular with nature lovers and fishermen.
