The Fades-Besserve lake is a water reservoir located in the town of Les Ancizes-Comps in the department of Puy de Dôme (63), in the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region, in the Massif Central. With an area of 400 hectares and an altitude of 700 meters, in the heart of deep and wild valleys, Lake Fades-Besserve is an exceptional lake, created by a dam that retains the waters of the Sioule river. It is a popular place for fishermen, tourists and nature lovers for its magnificent setting. There is a beautiful fish population of white fish (roach, tench, bream), a great diversity of predators (pike, pike perch, black-bass, perch) and a large population of common and mirror carp of intermediate size with very beautiful topics. One of the most beautiful lakes in Auvergne but also one of the most unknown.

Rules
The only authorized night fishing method is line fishing with a set, only with vegetable baits. On the Fades-Besserve reservoir, it can only be practiced from the banks on the aforementioned sectors, paneled at the ends by the AAPPMA "la Sioule" (Les Ancizes). Any night navigation on the Fades-Besserve reservoir is prohibited. Daytime navigation authorized. Each fisherman must set up functional light signals. Information: On-site restaurants / Picnic areas. Nautical activities: Pedalo / Windsurfing / Jet-skiing / Sailing. Outdoor activities with golf course. Swimming authorized and supervised from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. - July and August. Puy de Dôme fishing federation
