La Moine - Sector Montfaucon-Montigné - is a French river flowing in the departments of Maine-et-Loire (49), Deux-Sèvres and Loire-Atlantique, in the Pays de la Loire and Nouvelle-Aquitaine region. It is a tributary of the Nantes Sèvre on the right bank, therefore a sub-tributary of the Loire. With a course of 68 kilometers, the Moine crosses Cholet then Montfaucon-Montigné and merges into the Sèvre Nantes at Clisson. In a natural and peaceful setting, La Moine offers great fishing opportunities on its course. It is popular with nature lovers, walkers and fishermen for its wild side. It has a good fish population of white fish (roach, bream, rudd), predators (pike, pike perch, perch) and common carp of intermediate size.
