L’Ill – Secteur Kogenheim
The Ill - Secteur Kogenheim - is a French river that crosses the departments of Haut-Rhin (68) and Bas-Rhin (67), in the Grand Est region. It is an important left tributary of the Rhine and the main river in Alsace. It has its source in the northern foothills of the Jura and branches off to the north, flowing into the Rhine at Offendorf, downstream from Strasbourg, after the Gambsheim hydroelectric dam. With a course of 216 kilometers, in a wild and unspoiled setting, this river offers good conditions for night carp fishing but also for predator fishing. It has a rich fish diversity in white fish (bleak, roach, bream), predators (pike, perch, pike-perch) and common carp of intermediate size.
