The Pont Rouge pond is a body of water located in the town of Le Quesnoy, in the department of Nord (59) , in the Hauts-de-France region. At the gates of the Avesnois Natural Park , in the fortified town of ramparts classified as a Historic Monument , the Pont Rouge pond was originally dug , to have a sufficient water reserve, in order to flood the ditches with the city walls in the event of a siege. It offers good fishing conditions and has a good fish population of predators (pike, pike perch, perch, catfish), white fish (bleak, roach, bream) and common carp of intermediate size
