Petit étang de Glisy

The Meuse - Consenvoye sector - is a night carp course in the Meuse department (55), in the Grand-Est region. The Meuse is a European river 950 kilometers long with a relatively narrow basin facing south-north. It crosses France, Belgium and the Netherlands and empties into the North Sea. It originates at an altitude of 409 meters in Pouilly-en-Bassigny. It borrows wild territories with very diverse landscapes. The northernmost territory is a country of hills where the landscape opens up and the forest gives way to mixed farming on the softer slopes. The Ardennes Massif is a very extensive forest massif, cut by two large industrial valleys: the Meuse and the Semoy. This is where "geological curiosities", legends and spectacular views are concentrated. Strongly channeled north of the Ardennes, the Meuse is a wild and winding river in Meuse territory over nearly 200 kilometers. It is the backbone of the department, crossing it from north to south, offering charming, beautiful, peaceful, restful and invigorating landscapes. The Meuse contains an exceptional natural heritage and will delight lovers of nature and fishing. The Meuse offers a large and varied fish wealth with the presence of many species of white fish, predators (pike, pike perch, perch, large catfish) and common wild carp and mirrors of intermediate size with subjects weighing up to 25 kg. . The fishing pressure is relatively low and the carp are not suspicious. The main difficulty of fishing lies in the wind and the current which is quite strong especially at the beginning of the season. But it is all these random conditions that make the charm of river fishing ... The carp are cut to fight against the current and offer magnificent fights. For the posts, it will be necessary to look in priority for posts sheltered from the current, a dead arm, an island point, a hole followed by a shoal and congested places (submerged branches, grass beds, water lilies).
