The Ballastières are former aggregates extraction basins fed by the alluvial water table. They offer good fishing conditions and have a good fish density of white fish (bleak, roach, bream), predators (pike perch, pike, perch) and common carp of intermediate size. Regular fish stockings by the fishing federation take place there.
