La Saône – Secteur Sancé
The Saône - Sancé sector - is a river located in the department of Saône-et-Loire (71), in Bourgogne-Franche-Comté. It is the main right tributary of the Rhône. It also crosses the Grand-Est region and the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region. With a length of nearly 480 kilometers, it is the ninth longest river in France. The Saône has its source in Vioménil at the foot of Ménamont, south of the Seuil de Lorraine in the Vosges department (88), at an altitude of 405 meters. It merges with the Rhône at Lyon, at an altitude of 163 meters. The Saône is divided into three sections: Haute, Petite and Grande Saône. It is an essential river as much for its size as for the diversity of its fish populations, it will satisfy all types of fishermen and lovers of wild nature. It offers a high density of predators (pike, pike perch, perch, catfish), a high density of white fish and a remarkable herd of wild common and combative mirror carps that can reach considerable weights. For the posts, it will be necessary to look in priority for posts sheltered from the current, a dead arm, an island point, a hole followed by a shoal and congested places (submerged branches, grass beds, water lilies).
