Le Serein - Sector Isle Sur Serein - is a French river that crosses the departments of Côte-d´Or (21) and Yonne (89), in the Bourgogne-Franche-Comté and Grand Est regions. A tributary of the Yonne, the Serein has its source in the town of Beurey-Beauguay and flows onto the right bank of the Yonne at Bonnard. With a course of 188 kilometers, the Serein is a magnificent river in the heart of rural and wooded landscapes. It offers good fishing conditions and has a good piscicultural density of white fish (bleak, roach, bream), a good population of predators (pike perch, pike, perch) and common carp of intermediate size.
