S2 Lake

The S2 Lake was originally a coal Mine used after the Second World War up until 1960 therefore the water is full of different minerals from which the fish have been able to thrive so this makes the lakes stocking pretty impressive, as we have carp over 55lbs. However we are still unsure of the record weighing fish thus far.

There are also good amounts of grass carp, pike and cat fish!

You will be fishing for these carp using normal carp fishing methods, including, ledgering with bottom baits using a wide variety of rigs. When fishing for pike, this will only be available from October to the middle December! These carp reach large sizes so the tackle that is provided is well up to the job, the only thing that you have to take is your end tackle including your favourite rigs.

Note: The lake is a little bit snaggy in areas so it is not recommended for beginners!

There is a hot water shower, toiler and snack and drink bar. 24-hours security service. Food delivery to the swim from restaurant. This really is a carp fishing holiday that will appeal to friends or families who want a week away.
