The Montaubry pond is a lake located in the town of Le Breuil, in the department of Saône-et-Loire (71), in the Bourgogne-Franche-Comté region. In a rural and wooded natural setting, with an area of ​​128 hectares, the Montaubry pond is an ideal place for an outing or a fishing trip with family or friends. Very touristy during the summer period for its outdoor activities, it is frequented by locals out of season and particularly by predator fishermen. This lake has three coves, the tail of Coutots rather wild, the tail of Lavauts, protected from the prevailing winds and the tail of Morande, the largest. It offers good fishing conditions and has a good piscicultural density of white fish (bleak, roach, bream), a good population of predators (pike-perch, pike of good size, perch) and common carp of intermediate size with subjects of 15 kg. It should be noted that this pond is the only one where thermal navigation is authorized (limited to 6 hp) to access the fishing areas.

Fishing will only be carried out using vegetable baits and from the banks. From half an hour after sunset to half an hour before sunrise, no carp caught by amateur anglers can be kept in captivity or transported. At all times, no carp over 60 centimeters may be transported alive. On the rivers belonging to the public domain, different uses are present. In all circumstances, priority is given to navigation. Amateur fishermen with lines or gear adapt their activity so as not to interfere with boats as well as professional fishermen in the exercise of their profession.
